How to open the Console when it is closed?

Hi
Hello, my Klayout version is 0.30.1. Since I started using it, the console has never been displayed. How can I enable the console? I hope to check the accuracy of the script by looking at the output content displayed on the console.
The interface in the Macros environment is as shown in Fig.but the console does not display anything.

  • That appears to be a MacOS specific issue (I'm not a MacOS user). The console seems to be docked at the very right border by default vertically. There is some splitter handle on the right side which you may be able to pull.

I can't reproduce the problem on Windows or Linux and the console is not dockable at all. No idea why this happens.

  • The image above seems to be for Windows, not macOS, at least.

    Windows 11 + 0.30.2

    macOS 15.5 (Sequoia) + 0.30.2

  • Hi @sekigawa,

thanks, I think this is helpful.

So the console is closed initially on MacOS? But it's docked correctly at the bottom. Correct?

    Thanks,

  • Hi @Matthias,

On macOS, the three panes appear as expected upon launch with both Qt5 and Qt6.
In the video above, we started by intentionally shrinking the console for demonstration purposes.
